The PEARCE 1.35” Leather Belt

DESCRIPTION

The 1.35" PEARCE is a **NEW BELT**  for 2021. I found the leather standing by itself in the research and development room at the tannery. For years I had been searching for heavy native grey saddle leather to add to our belt line. The grey I was seeking had to be a true, pale, steely grey, not a blue grey. For some reason grey is an elusive leather color within vegetable tanned quality and it is even harder to find as a leather dye. Upon discovery I immediately put an order in at exactly the weight and specs I was looking for. And there you have it. Due to hide minimums, popularity will dictate whether it stays on LIMITED EDITION. We can reorder but it takes a 10 hide minimum. If you have been looking for this color in premium saddle leather too, order yours today. See the SILVER CLOUD as we use the same leather sewn with double saddle-stitches of a lighter Platinum and Parchment HD thread to compliment the premium grey bridle leather.

Pearce is a silver mining town in Cochise County, Arizona, adjacent to The Commonwealth Mine. When a rancher discovered the silver at the Commonwealth Mine in 1892, the town of Pearce soon swelled to 1900 people. It is now virtually a ghost town. In it's day, the mine produced close to 12 million ounces of silver.

HISTORY

Wearing natural leather can have the ability of connecting us to our environment in ways we may not understand. For man, the process of tanning leather with roots and bark from trees goes back to the cave. Thousands of years of evolution physically join man and leather to nature and survival.
