The REMINGTON DOG COLLAR

Size (See Size Guide)

This custom made dog collar is handcrafted on our Arizona workshop. We use AMERICAN TANNED, all natural, premium one-piece saddle leather to make this heirloom collar. Vegetable/bark tanned leather means SAFE for your pet. This 4-6 week tanning process cures leather naturally using the bark and roots of trees rich in tannins. There are only 2 tanneries (that we know of) that still bark-tan leather in the United States. We buy our premium leather from both of them. All of our leather is a natural by product of the meat industry. Environmentally responsible people who understand sustainability, natural resources, and toxic landfill waste choose leather.

At Scottsdale Belt Co. we believe in making safe and environmentally friendly pet collars for our friends who cannot do this for themselves. For over 20 years we have used one piece leather construction to make our belts, dog collars and bracelets. We take a great deal of pride in every item that comes out of our small manufacturing operation.

CONSTRUCTION:

Our leather is not pieced together! All collars are made with the finest leather using one-piece construction. Our stitched collars are stitched using a heavy duty #207 weight thread, primarily used for saddles, parachutes and hot air balloons. We use a German built Durkopp Adler saddle stitching machine for amazing stitch clarity and precision. Scottsdale Belt Co. dog collars are adorned with stainless steel or solid brass buckles and D-rings. Solid brass rivets hold the roller buckle and contoured D ring tightly in place.

SIZING:

We size the collar from the THIRD hole from the end. That leaves 2 holes (at most) to expand and 4 holes to tighten for sick or senior ages. REMEMBER that most dogs are full grown at 6 months of age with 2 holes to fill out. Simply measure your dog's current collar in exact inches. If you find your dog's neck is in between sizes, please round up to the nearest size. Please refer to our SIZING GUIDE. It's that simple!
